Back in February I took the online course CINEMATIC STORYBOARDING FOR 2D ACTION and DRAMA, by Danny Araya.
A most excellent class and if he offers another one, I highly recommend taking it if you have any interest in storyboarding, or sequential story telling of any kind really. Learn from the best.
Anyway, this is the homework assignment that came out of that class work.

A band of warriors, leaders of the Daugters of the Emperor, led by Alecia Dominica, confront the evil High Lord Goge Vandire. After the depths of their betrayal and deception being revealed to them by the Emperor himself, their anger and rage is unmatched. Vengeance and justice overlap, as Alecia brings Vandire’s ‘Reign of Blood’ to an end.
The setting and characters are based on factions from the game Warhammer 40,000, by Games Workshop. I think the lore is fun, so I made this thingy.

The armies of Chaos lay siege to the fortress city of Hag Nar. The stronghold of the Daughters of Khaine, fearsome zealots in service to the aelven god of murder. Warriors of the evil Chaos gods have captured one of the towers along the city wall, and revel in the bloody victory. However, they celebrate too soon, for one defender yet lives!
The setting and characters are based on factions from the game Warhammer: Age of Sigmar, by Games Workshop. I think the lore is fun, so I made a fight scene for it.

This was a really fun project I got to work on after RWBY vol. 9. i absolutely loved the scenes I was assigned and I’m honestly very humbled and grateful that they trusted me with the intro. To be given the first scenes in the movie that fans will see was a great compliment, and went a long way to chipping away at my mountain of imposter syndrome. Again, I can’t thank team CRWBY and Rooster Teeth animation enough. I’ve improved so much during my time there and it wouldn’t have happened without this opportunity. Here’s a few samples of my work from the project.
